SOLVE THE FERTILIZER NUMBER MYSTERY
What are the 3 numbers in fertilizer?
Always same order left to right:
(N) Nitrogen- green growth
(P) Phosphate - boosts produce & bloom
(K) Potassium- strong roots and plants
10-10-10 is a balanced fertilizer we add to the soil at the beginning of the season.
Broadcast at the rate of 1 pound per 100 square feet - then till into soil.
We also use 5-10-15 fertilizer when the plant requires less nitrogen to encourage blossoms and fruiting.
If you opt to forego the soil test, broadcast 10-10-10 fertilizer before tilling at the rate of 1 pound per 100 square feet of the vegetable garden, then till.
